Green floral bath mat created with hydrangea photography.
I like to have flowers in my house. If not real flowers, then anything with a floral design, like this bath mat, will work.
There are not many flowers growing in my yard at this time of year. The hydrangea images I’m using for this blog and for creating products at BlueHyd were taken last year, or before that. Work doesn’t stop, and when new products arrive and need images, I scour through my best photography to add to items.
When the new bath mats came out, I was skeptical. Some items I create never sell, and I hate to waste time trying to promote something no one wants. This green hydrangea bath mat has surprised me. It seems that floral designs are popular in the bathroom, and customers seem to like green the best.
Although I have made this bath mat in blue, pink and white, the light green color is the one that sells.
The green flower that created this all-over photography image, grew on a hydrangea shrub in my landlady’s yard. The flower began as a bright blue color and gradually faded to green by fall. It was beautiful. My own Endless Summer shrub has never created the same lovely green shade.
Because my blog is mainly about hydrangea plants and flowers, I thought I’d bring to attention some pictures of blue hydrangea flowers that are free to use as you please. Download any size on the Pixabay site (click on the image to view the page at their site) and use on your blog, website, stationery, and printables. These pictures can also be used commercially, with no need to give credit to the photographer, or site. Of course they would love it if you do.
I’ll also do other colors like green, pink and white. (Coming soon.) In a few months I should have some photos of my own to add.

I created this blue hydrangea postage stamp, with a monogram initial template, for couples planning a wedding. But it’s a lovely little floral stamp for anyone. The “F” letter is easy to change in the template area on the product page. Just click on the image here to see that.
Unsure of what initial to use? First name initials can represent a single person, Last name initials represent married couples, or single people. Newlyweds and engaged couples like to use monograms to indicate their use of the same last name on thank you cards or wedding stationery.
The blue hydrangea images on this stamp came from my personal photos which were taken when I was renting a duplex. The hydrangea in the front yard had such beautiful blue flowers! I have more U.S. postage stamps at BlueHyd.
I began the BlueHyd store with the idea that I would provide stationery and gift items that feature the blue hydrangea flower. I had a limited number of flower pictures to use, and each one had to have the background removed in order for it to look nice on my products. The process is time consuming, but the end result gives me the option to do so much more with the images.
Then I began creating graphic drawings of the flowers to present more color variety. When I began to fill the online store, I made business cards and writing paper for customers to personalize.
The hydrangea decorated, elegant, personalized stationery shown here has a choice of a few specialty paper types. I like to post most of my paper products on the “linen” paper since it is popular with folks, but this formal stationery can easily be changed to felt, recycled or even basic.
A big 30% discount applies at 25 sheets, and save even more with a discount of 45% at 50 sheets. The template at the top can be filled in with a name and the blue flower is an original art design by yours truly.
This writing paper would make a nice gift for any lady who loves hydrangeas.
